Our Story
Margaret River Vineyard Estate is the home of Rivergold Estate Wines and is located in the heart of Margaret River wine region. This area is known for its pristine environment that produces wines that compete on the world stage. MRVE has been in Mel’s family since the vines were first planted in 1994. Since the beginning the fruit on their vines have been of such good quality that local producers like Frank Tate, Mad Fish, Flying Fish and Stella Bella have purchased it all to make their world famous wines.
Our Producers
Early in 2015 Mel and Alex bought out other family members and took control. It has been a lifelong dream of theirs to make their own wine and in 2015 this became a reality. From their near decade working in the French Wine industry they knew what they wanted from their wine. Importantly they did not want any chemicals or preservatives as they believe after a good night of drinking with friends you should not be suffering the next day. Margaret River Winemakers was entrusted to bring the Mitchell’s dream to reality and what a job they have done.
